JOHANNA ORTIZ X OMAR HURTADO
An Offering to the Earth
Centuries ago, our ancestors believed the Sun’s tears became gold—gifts carried by rivers, gathered with reverence, and shaped into symbols of life and legacy. Once their purpose was fulfilled, these treasures were returned to sacred waters in a ritual of gratitude to Earth for allowing them to live.
This collection, created with master goldsmith Omar Hurtado, honors that wisdom. Each handcrafted piece is a solar tear—an offering shaped by human hands and inspired by the elements.
On this Earth Day, we celebrate the beauty and purpose of creation, a gesture of thanks and a tribute to eternal creation.

HERITAGE & SYMBOLISM
This collection is a tribute to the wisdom and heritage of pre-Columbian cultures, a testament to nature and the power of art and design to convey universal truths. Bringing to life a shared vision of artistic craftsmanship and profound storytelling, each piece—crafted in silver and plated in 24-karat gold using unique techniques—carries an essence of movement, renewal, freedom, and femininity.

THE ARTISAN
At the heart of this collection is Omar Hurtado, a distinguished Colombian artisan and goldsmith with over three decades of experience. Celebrated for his meticulous recreations of pre-Columbian jewelry, his work—often inspired by artifacts from the Gold Museum in Bogotá—honors the rich heritage of ancient Colombian cultures.

SACRED MATERIALS
In pre-Columbian traditions, gold was seen as the sun’s sacred tears, a divine material imbued with meaning. Inspired by ancient amulets, this capsule collection reinterprets symbols of good fortune and harmony, preserving their essence through intricate craftsmanship. Semi-precious stones, chosen for their symbolism, add to the collection’s mystique: red jasper for vitality, green quartz for renewal, and onyx for strength and protection. Hand-polished into organic shapes with a soft matte finish, these jewels are timeless, powerful, and deeply connected to nature.
